#Challenge 18- Disrespecting parents
Like I always say, it is fine if we have to quarrel with parents (that is if we really can't help it) because we are after all, humans. Parents are humans, just like us. None of us is perfect and we are sure to have disagreements between us. But no matter how serious the argument gets, we must never ever disrespect our parents.
About a month ago, I came up with a very short post about the infamous girl in Singapore, Adelyn Hosehbo. You can read here, if you want to. http://the-reignoflove.blogspot.com/2011/11/we-cultivate-us.html
Adelyn serves as a good example for disrespecting parents. Like I said, she doesn't feel remorseful about her actions. Look what the society has brought us into. With globalisation, we are now faced with a very ugly and crappy society.
Children, youth, young adults and even adults should actually reflect on how they were brought into this world. Hey, it is a woman who brought us into this world! A mighty and strong woman who kept us in her stomach for about 9 months and even had to go through all the shitty phase of the pregnancy cycle. Cravings, mood swings, etc. She even had to suffer the pain when we do some kungfu in her stomach!
How about our fathers? Aren't they the ones who brought us into this world too? Without them, there would be no you and I. Fathers are usually the ones who earn the money for our milk powder, clothes, education, shelter and food.
So, how can we ever disrespect our parents? It is really a big no-no.
